Challenge Day Out Reminders

Our end of year Challenge Day Out is getting closer. Thank you to those parents and caregivers who have volunteered to come along. We have had a fantastic response with many adult helpers who are able to join us for the day.

Hopefully your child’s fundraising has gone well and they have contributed towards the cost of this day. The $35 needs to be paid before the trip.

Details for the Challenge Day Out Trip
Students and helpers are to meet at school at the earlier time of 8:30am; we will need to leave school at 8:40am in order to meet at the Outram Glen Farm by 9.00am. In the unlikely event that this day is cancelled then I will contact adult helpers shortly after 7:00am.

The students need to come prepared regardless of the weather. We are exposed to extremes of hot and cold on this mountain top, it can go from +30 to -15 wind chill.

Wear old clothes!!!!! There is mud and cow poop everywhere. You will get dirty!
• Wear suitable footwear (No gumboots) and an old pair of shoes for swimming.
• Bring a rain proof jacket / thermals and backpack.
• Bring your togs, plastic bag, and towel for swimming.
• Sunhat / beanie and sun block.
• Please ensure that you have a large packed lunch.
• Water bottle (1.5 L), No energy drinks.
• Bring any personal medication needed. Carry your inhalers with you but give any other medication to your teacher.
For your own safety come prepared with suitable clothing. The weather is unreliable!

We aim to get back to school by 4.30 – 5.00pm. If we get back earlier then the students will stay at school until they have contacted you and arrangements have been made to go home.

If you have any further questions, please do not hesitate to contact me at school.
