On Monday after we had settled into our bunkrooms we set of for bivouac building and the half hour long walk. We had to bring a packed lunch, a drink bottle and one person per active group had to have a medical kit. When the whistle blew we had to come to the deck, number of and then we were of!
When we got to a sign post we went right up farm road. It was steep and seemed to go on forever.
When we finally got to the top it was flat. We stopped for a brake here. It was straight downhill from here.
On the way down we found a lookout overlooking the wetlands one or two houses and the sea.
Eventually we got down to the flat. We found a long line of rocks to sit on and have our lunch.
After we had had our lunch it was time for bivouac building. We got into our activity groups and Mr Sloan gave out our areas that we had to make our huts in. we decided to make our hut out of a bunch of trees that looked a bit like a hut but it had a few holes in it and a to big a door, so we spent the hour that we had working on that.
When the judges came around to judge our bivouac they said that the door was too wide and the roof still had holes in it.
When we finally got back to camp it was 1:00 pm almost 3 hours had past! Well that was fun I said enthusiastically.
